Mission Statement:

  • Create space for educators and students to enjoy the act of mathematizing (noticing, wondering, playing with patterns).
  • Reflect on actions I took that marginalized students (like sorting into “high” and “low” groups) and look for ways to disrupt unequal power structures.
  • De-center myself by listening to and learning from educators and students with different identities and experiences.
  • Focus on and highlight the strengths of the people I work with (rather than trying to “fix” them).
  • Seek out new ideas and perspectives and make my learning public.
